Working With A Local Medicare Broker
Working with a local Medicare broker gives you accurate, customized information based on your area. Working with brokers that live across the country may not give you entire picture of your local plan options. We live and work in Maryland. We have direct connections to our local insurance companies, we know the plans and "inside information."
We are independent and work for you, not the insurance carriers. While they pay us to help you, our loyalty is to you.
We are plan agnostic. We work with 25+ carriers so to us, it doesn't matter who you select to cover your policy.
Our agency has helped over 3,000 clients, with the majority of those living Maryland. Our feedback proves our longevity.
Medicare is all we do. We prefer to be experts in one subject vs being "average" in many. We know Medicare!

2027 Medicare Costs and Premiums
Here's what we know about 2027 Medicare costs and estimated premiums. These may change slightly as CMS has not officially released the 2027 changes.
Part B Monthly Premium: $209.50 (up from $202.90 in 2026)
Part B Annual Deductible: $310 (up from $283 in 2026)
Part D Max-Out-Of-Pocket: $2,400 (up from $2,100 in 2026)
Part D Annual Deductible: $700 (up from $615 in 2026)
These 2027 Medicare rates above affect everyone on Medicare, regardless of the type of plan you have. Those with income levels above $113,000 per person, may pay more due to SSA's IRMAA. Those with low income, may qualify for help from their state or from the government directly through Medicaid, Extra Help for Part D, or through the state's SPAP program. In Maryland, it's called SPDAP.
Maryland Medicare Advantage Plans Terminating Coverage
In 2027, Maryland Medicare Advantage plans affect every single county. There is not a single county that won't lose at least one Advantage plan for 2027. There are six major insurance carriers in the state of Maryland that are terminating plans in select counties. One of the more well-known, national carriers is dropping nearly 16,000 Marylanders this fall, this creates a major opportunity for seniors.

THIS IS NOT A SALES EVENT. EDUCATIONAL ONLY.
When your Advantage Plan drops you from their plan (involuntarily), it triggers a Special Election Period (SEP) for you. All the rule change and you're provided with an amazing opportunity.
- You have until February 28th, 2027 to enroll into a new plan (we don't suggest you wait this long, but you can if you want)
- You can select another Advantage Plan
- You can select a Medicare Supplement (MediGap) plan with no medical underwriting
The last point is very powerful.
What this means, if you are dropped by your Maryland Medicare Advantage Plan in 2027, you can choose a Supplement Plan from any insurance carrier that offers them in the state. The insurance carrier can not:
- Deny you coverage
- Ask you any health questions
- Look into your health history to determine eligibility
- Raise your rate due to health conditions
You are, what we call, "Guaranteed Issued." All that means is you're guaranteed approval, no questions asked. This is often a Godsend for those that have pre-existing conditions, or for those that want to open up their network of physician nationwide. This remove the restrictions of networks often found in Advantage Plans. But these come at a cost, it's not cheap, but it may be well worth the look. Book a time above to speak with one of us about your 2027 Medicare plan options.
